BOONTON, NJ January 7, 2008 - On December 14, 2007 Dennis Budinich - The Motivated Banker – delivered the commencement address at the Hershey Hotel in Hershey, PA for the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Executive Leadership Program. The presentation focused on the current state of the banking industry, and the crucial responsibility that banking leaders at every level have in making the industry an exciting career destination for the employees of tomorrow. Dennis' strong motivational lecture showcased his unique blend of information, humor, and story telling, which received a rousing response from all of the attendees.
The Executive Learning Program (ELP) was the first such program designed and run by the PBA. The objective of this 16 month program was to prepare future bank leaders with the tools required to succesfully lead their organizations in an increasingly complex industry. Each participant participated in workshops that allowed them to learn from experts, develop relationships with colleagues, and discover new things about themselves.
"This is a special group of people." Dennis said. "They seem to really have a grasp on what they learned through the program and what I reiterated throughout the commencement address. And that is, people want to be led. They want to be inspired, understood, engaged, and know their work and the company they work for means something. Fewer and fewer people are responding to the edict of 'do it for the company' or 'do it to incerase shareholder value.'" Especially the younger generation of employees. Any leader or organization that doesn't apply what these individuals learned in this program, will have a tough time being successful. These folks seem very in tune with the message. I wish them all the best of luck."
