| PACB Directors Conference June 2009 |
|
The Directors Conference was well attended by Presidents, CEOs, and Board Members fom banks across the state of Pennsylvania. Presentations varied from economic outlooks, to pending regulation and legislation, to growth strategies. Dennis drew on the vast wealth of information compiled by FTC - and his personal experience as a consultant - to educate the audience on the dynamics that emotions have when trying to maintain growth during tough times. The most recent research he shared, showed how develping positive employee attitudes and emotions can lead to increase in the bottom line. This dyanmic and thought provoking information led to many questions and comments from the audience. “Every time we talk about the tangible effects emotions have on the bottom line, we receive an enormous amount of positive feedback and requests for more information." Dennis explained. He went on further to say "Every organization in the country is trying to figure out how to get people to do more with less. How to teach people to be adaptable and figure out new ways of doing business in an everchanging economy. That's a tall order to ask of someone who does not understnd the principals and effects of proper emotional managment. Especially with what we are all going through right now.”
